Centre for Transformative Work Design

Innovative research. Informed leaders. Inspired workers.

The Centre for Transformative Work Design (CTWD) is a Research Centre where passionate organisational psychology researchers and professionals are working together to transform work under the directorship of Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow, Professor Sharon K. Parker.

We conduct high quality, independent and innovative research to understand the role of work design in generating healthy and productive work.

Through the Centre’s Collaboratory, we work with managers, employees and policy makers to foster the design of work that creates healthier lives, unlocks human capability and supports a skilled economy.

Future of Work Institute

The CTWD is housed in the Future of Work Institute at Curtin University. The Future of Work Institute (FOWI) promotes productive and meaningful work as essential foundations of a healthy economy and society.

It focuses on how people contribute to and benefit from new knowledge and practices. Its mission is to support thriving people and organisations in the digital age.

The Collaboratory

The Collaboratory is where the Centre engages with workers, employers, managers, policy makers, and the community around our research. Amongst other activities, the Collaboratory generates important resources about work design for educators, researchers, managers, workers, and the community.

Some ways in which the Collaboratory might assist your organisation include running training and development workshops, diagnosing work design issues and creating interventions, developing assessment tools and leadership development coaching.
